Corporate Legal Assistant

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 + Overtime Eligibility

Position Overview

A respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and transactional support to attorneys in a fast-paced corporate law practice. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys being a critical resource to legal teams and clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting attorneys with document preparation, transaction coordination, calendar management, client communications, and a variety of administrative functions that contribute to the efficient execution of corporate legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys.
  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, conference calls, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and attorney schedules.
  • Handle time entry, expense reports, billing coordination, and other administrative functions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client and firm information.

Legal & Transactional Support

  • Draft, proofread, edit, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, contracts, agreements, and closing documents.
  • Assist with corporate formations, amendments, and related entity filings.
  • Prepare closing binders and maintain transaction checklists to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Ensure legal documents comply with formatting standards and established procedures.
  • Support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of corporate transactions.

Client & Matter Management

  • Coordinate with clients, outside counsel, vendors, and third parties regarding meetings, transactions, and closings.
  • Track critical dates, filing deadlines, transaction milestones, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files and records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting attorneys in a corporate, transactional, or legal environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple professionals in a law firm or professional services setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using legal document management systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of legal documentation, terminology, and administrative processes.
